It’s that time of year we’ve all been waiting for…JAZZ FEST!! Hip hip hurray!!

Hello Yojimbo Friends,

Touring with Mike Dillon could not be cooler!!!  We’ve had lots of fun, and have learned so much being on the road with Mike D.  He’s been an inspiring force of freak for us, and we are excited to keep the music coming.  Look for The Mike Dillon Band around you.

Sooooo… We would like to let everyone know that we have officially added the Sultan of Sound, Cliff Hines, to the band.  His guitar will rock you, shock you, and awe you.  We believe his addition to Yojimbo will allow us to enter a new musical realm of facemelting fun and entertainment for everyone.  So come see us this weekend at:

Yojimbo’s back from the road and in full swing!!!

After 3 weeks of learning the road from a true road warrior Mike Dillon, we have grown exponentially as musicians, and as a band.  We are truly grateful that someone with as much esteem as Mike would take us under his wing and teach us the ways of the music business.  While on the road we made countless new connections with various clubs, recording studios, and producers.  Yojimbo could not be more excited for what the future holds!!

Come SEE us before we hit the road again in March! We’ll be playing this weekend on frenchmen and will also be opening for one of my favorite bands….BONERAMA!!

March 3rd @ Tipitina’s 10pm-11pm, Opening band for BONERAMA!!!

Thanks to everyone that came out last saturday night to our “We Are Dogs” CD Release!!  We could not have asked for a better party!  YOJIMBO felt honored to have special guest Simon Lott come in and do a monster solo Context Killer set, and to have Ms. Alex Diaz there effortlessly running the sound board!!  Oh! and how could I forget our saviors Jacob and Rona working the merch table, helping us sell our CD’s and what not.

YOJIMBO is now gearing up to go on the road for 3 weeks with the maniacal Mike Dillon!  We will be driving his great white van through St. Louis, Kansas City, up to CO where we will  embrace those gorgeous Rocky Mountains and maybe even be lucky enough to hit some powdah on the slopes!  We’ll finish off the trip driving through Texas, exploring Mike D’s roots, and make it back to New Orleans just in time for Mardi Gras!  YEEHAW!!
